Why the installation is the point
On a new estate the lighting is installed while the road is still a site, so a crane is manageable. The saving shows up afterwards: every lantern change for the next 35 years is done by lowering the column, and the aluminium does not rust through the way steel does at the ground line.
For a parish or management company the saving is immediate. A footpath column can be replaced by one person with a van instead of a contractor with plant and traffic management.
- Are the columns adoptable?
- The 150 column holds a UKCA Certificate of Constancy of Performance. Hardie supplies councils including Central Bedfordshire and Liverpool. Send us the adopting authority's specification and we will confirm compliance for your scheme.
- Do you supply the lanterns?
- Yes. Hardie supplies LED lanterns and post-top adaptors, and all our lamps integrate with the industry-standard CMS for remote control and dimming.
- What about replacing old concrete columns?
- Hardie's over-sleeve system re-uses the existing base so the electrical connection is not transferred. Ask us which option suits your columns.
